• Most of the tour takes place outdoors under the Texan sun. Guests are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing and bring water to help stay cool.
• Visiting Longneck Manor is exclusive to tour and overnight guests. Plan to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your tour. We must start each tour on time. If you will be more than 10 minutes late, please call us at 830.362.8752. Due to our schedules, late-arriving guests may have their tour canceled.
• All guests must sign a guest liability waiver before their tour. For children under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf.
• Service animals supporting a disability are allowed, however for the safety of our giraffes and rhinos, may not participate in any animal encounters, including feeding or posing for photos nor overnight stays.
• Longneck Manor is adjacent to pasturelands with wild animals and free-range cattle. Please watch for these animals when driving on Beyer Road. Do not exit your vehicle or attempt to interact with or pet such animals.
• Upon arrival at the Longneck Manor gate, please call the posted number for admittance. • Follow the signs to Tour Parking and then check-in for your tour at the Karibu Welcome Center.
• Due to the high demand and limited tour capacity, Longneck Manor cannot provide a refund if the tour is canceled less than 48 hours before the booked tour date.
The tour involves walking on natural terrain, so sturdy, comfortable shoes protect your feet and ensure ease during the visit.
Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to shield yourself from Texas' strong sun, especially during summer visits.
For your safety and the animals’ well-being, always adhere to guidelines and feeding instructions from the Animal Care Specialist.
