Recommended gear

Smartphone with data plan: Needed to receive clues, send photos, and communicate with the live remote host.
Comfortable walking shoes: Support for short urban walks and uneven sidewalks keeps the game enjoyable.
Portable battery/charger: Prevents mid-game shutdowns from camera, GPS, and messaging use.
Light rain jacket or layers: Asheville weather can change quickly; a packable layer keeps you comfortable outdoors.
