Boarding begins at the Ria de Alvor, where the estuary breathes cool salt air across a low wooden pontoon and a compact vintage Portuguese boat rocks gently at its moorings. The crew greets the group, and within minutes the hull slips past mudflats into open sea—the cliffs of João de Arens looming ahead like a challenge daring you to explore.

Meet at the Ria de Alvor boarding pontoon, between Café na Ria and the Yacht Club; the boat and crew will be visible from the dock.
No advanced experience is required—guides provide basic instruction and life jackets; participants should be comfortable in the water and able to paddle for short periods.
Bottled water is included; lunch is a 60-minute onboard break—guests may bring their own or request a catered meal for an extra fee.
