Alpine Express 2-Hour Snowmobile Tour

Our two-hour Alpine Express tour is the perfect choice for our beginner riders and families. This entry-level, guided tour offers several of the same amenities as our Mountain Maverick tour, but with an emphasis on entry level snowmobile drivers!

• Expert Guides: All tours are led by professional guides who ensure your safety while sharing insights about the history of Camp Hale and the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
• Your Snowmobile: As a single rider, enjoy the power of the four-stroke Renegade Sport 600. If you are doubling up, ride in comfort and enjoy heated handle grips for both the driver and passenger with the four-stroke Grand Touring Sport 600.

• Machine Gun Ridge: A must-visit destination offering panoramic views of the Gore and Sawatch Range. This ridge, named for its connection to Camp Hale’s military history, combines breathtaking scenery with a sense of adventure and historical significance.
• Resolution Mountain: Known for its towering elevation and sweeping views of Elk Mountain and beyond, this high-altitude point is a highlight for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.
• Ptarmigan Pass: Ride to this serene alpine pass, where wide-open landscapes and unspoiled snowfields create an otherworldly experience. Nestled between the surrounding peaks, Ptarmigan Pass offers stunning views of the Sawatch Range and a true sense of Colorado wilderness.
• Camp Hale National Monument: Once the training site for the 10th Mountain Division during World War II, this area now serves as a protected testament to its military legacy and a gateway to exploring the breathtaking White River National Forest. Your guide will share fascinating stories about its significance as you ride through this historic landmark.

What to Bring

• To stay warm and comfortable, please bring:
• Winter jacket, snow pants, and snow boots (if you have your own)
• Gloves or mittens, goggles, and a neck gaiter or scarf Layered clothing and heavy socks

If you’re missing any gear, don’t worry! We offer rentals:

• Goggles and gloves: $5.00 each
• Full-body snow suits: $30.00 each

Book Your Adventure

Whether you're a seasoned snowmobiler or a first-timer, Nova Guides offers an experience unlike any other. Ages 16 and older with a valid driver’s license can drive their own snowmobile. We recommend passengers be 9 years and older. Listed times are door-to-door times from the Vail and Beaver Creek area.
