The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad dates back to the early 1880s and is one of the last remaining narrow-gauge railroads in the U.S., originally built for freight and passenger service through rugged mountains.
Efforts are underway to preserve the historic rail line and surrounding forests through sustainable tourism practices that minimize impact on wildlife and natural habitats.
Adjust easily to changing temperatures throughout the day in the mountains.
Capture stunning mountain and forest views along the route.
Protect your skin from strong mountain sun during sunny summer days.
