Description

On this journey to the Algarve Mountains, immerse yourself in the essence of the nature, heritage, and gastronomy of the Monchique mountain range, and indulge in a picturesque picnic that welcomes you to the heart of the Algarve!

After being picked up from your accommodation, embark on an exciting private tour lasting around 7 to 8 hours, exploring the places that shape the history and traditions of our enogastronomic culture. Enriched with fascinating facts and local knowledge, prepare to see and taste the Algarve in a unique way.

Start by travelling through the beautiful hills and valleys of the Barrocal and Monchique Mountain. You’ll have the chance to walk along the Algarve’s new footbridges, featuring a suspended bridge and stunning landscapes in Barranco do Demo.

Next, enjoy views from the highest point in the Algarve: Fóia. From here, you can see almost the entire Algarve in all its splendour.

The next stop is the picturesque village of Monchique. Hidden in the mountains, this village offers a joyful atmosphere and traditions distinct from the coastal regions. The famous black pork sausage and ham, as well as medronho fruit brandy and honey liqueur, are the culinary stars of the region.

By now, your appetite will be ready for the mountain’s flavours, so you’ll head to one of the most renowned wineries in the region, where a delicious outdoor lunch will be prepared, with a selection of regional mountain food, harmonised with the vineyard’s local wines.

Along the way, enjoy a guided visit to the vineyard.

At the end of the experience, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase wines and other local products at the vineyard shop.
