The engine clicks, the dust rises and the Barrocal Algarvio stretches away: low scrub, limestone outcrops and cork oaks rolling toward a bright inland sky. You push off for 2½ hours of tracks and terraces, the buggy answering every rock and wash with a confident shove as the inland Algarve shows a quieter, wilder face.
