Alaska, often called "The Last Frontier" has been the crown jewel for adventure travelers in North America. There are many misconceptions of unbearable and impassable weather conditions. This couldn't be further from the truth. During the summers in Alaska, you've got 18-20 hours of sunlight and average daytime temperatures between 58-77 F (14-25 C). The Denali Expedition is focused on the highlights of Inside-Alaska with optional activities of sea kayaking, ice climbing, glacier walks, rafting and scenic flights. View glaciers and icebergs from near or from afar, trail blaze through the wilds and maybe even come face-to-face with a grizzly! This is the adventure your adrenaline has been waiting for you to do.
Wear layered, waterproof gear and bring dry bags to stay warm and dry during kayaking and glacier hikes.
If new to kayaking, consider a short introductory lesson to build confidence before tackling glacial waters.
Maintain a safe distance from animals like bears or moose to ensure your safety and minimize disturbance.
A reliable headlamp helps with camp chores and stargazing, especially as early darkness arrives in Alaska.
Denali National Park has a rich gold rush and native Athabaskan cultural heritage dating back thousands of years.
