Morning light breaks across the Mediterranean as the coach eases out of Side and the Taurus Mountains slide into view — a ribbon of green-backed cliffs meeting glittering blue. You arrive in Alanya at the harbour where a local boat waits to push off, the wind quickening and caves along the shore daring you to lean closer and peer into mineral-dark mouths.
