The first part of your excursion will be a meet and greet. Your instructor will match you with your beautiful rescued gypsy horse. You will marvel in their beauty and quiet nature, once you look into their eyes your heart will melt. The next part will be your riding instructions. After that you will mount up and begin your journey. You may feel like your riding a magical unicorn through an enchanted forest...well you just might be.
Alafia River State Park will take you right into the heart of native Florida. Your guide will point out all the wildlife you may come across. Part of the ride will take you to the lake, keep your eyes peeled as you may see water birds, turtles, and even an alligator. Most of the ride routes through the manicured shady trails. See a spot that you find perfect and your guide will do a quick photo shoot for you.
After the ride is over, you will get another chance to love on your horse. This is where you help us with our rescues. After you give them the carrots that you brought for them, you give them their final rub and kiss goodbye. You see, you are showing them not all humans are BAD!
Attire should be long pants and shoes. Don't worry if you didn't pack your boots as we have special equipment that will allow you to ride safely in sneakers.
All minor children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same ride. Everyone rides their own horse, no double riding allowed. Children under 10 must receive permission from owner. Please email or call.
