Within 30–45 minutes the city’s tile roofs give way to a hard, pale plain: Agafay’s lunar-like expanse of broken rock and compacted gravel. Dust rises in the wake of quads as guides line up the group for a short test run, then lead a ribbon of ATVs across plateaus and toward a rocky rise where views open back toward the mountains.
