Adventure tips

Book early for peak daysThis is a popular two-hour cruise; weekend and holiday sailings can sell out, so reserve in advance.

Dress for a breezeCanal winds can be cooler than ashore — bring a light waterproof and a warm layer even in summer.

Bring ID for bar purchasesThe boat has a fully licensed bar; carry photo ID if you plan to buy alcohol (minimum age 18).

Arrive 15 minutes before boardingBoarding is straightforward but limited space means early arrival avoids queuing and secures preferred seating.

Recommended gear

Waterproof shell: Protects against spray and the frequent canal breeze during cooler months.
Warm mid-layer: Keeps you comfortable during the two-hour cruise when temperatures drop on open water.
Comfortable flat shoes: Sturdy, flat footwear helps on damp gangways and cobbled boarding areas.
Compact camera or binoculars: Useful for spotting riverside birds, canal features, and architectural details from the deck.
