Experience a breathtaking 16-20 minute overflight of the stunning Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Even without a snow landing, enjoy the vibrant blue hues of glacial ice and capture incredible photos. This unique aerial adventure offers a different perspective of Glacier Country, making it a memorable highlight of your journey.
Sometimes the weather conditions (cloud, wind or rain) in Glacier Country don't allow us to get higher into the mountains to the snow landing sites, but we can still safely fly over the Franz Josef & Fox Glaciers.
You may not be able to get a snow landing but on these days, we often have less sun glare so get the beautiful blue colour in the glacial ice and some awesome photos!
Flight times can vary depending on wind speed & direction on the day. Minimum of 4 passenger required for departure, if minimum numbers are not met you will be offered a Glacier Explorer Flight with snow landing for the same cost or can upgrade to the Pilots Choice flight for $75pp.
