About This Adventure

The Advanced Open Water Diver course enhances your diving skills through five exciting dives, including deep diving and underwater navigation. Explore various specialties like wreck diving and fish identification while gaining valuable experience under expert supervision. Perfect for certified divers eager to expand their horizons and earn PADI specialty credits.

Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about expanding your skills.

You'll complete two required dives—deep diving and underwater navigation—then three additional specialty dives based on the local environment, for a total of five dives. Each specialty dive you complete can earn you credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.

Here are a few of the many options: Deep, Dive Against Debris, Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Underwater Navigation, and Wreck Diver.

You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving skills, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. Try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is open to all certified Open Water Divers, including Junior Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old.

Adventure Dives

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your the adventures you have – Boat, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

Course Details

  • All five training dives conducted from the boat.
  • Maximum student-to-instructor ratio is 6:1.
