The ocean opens like a cold, slow breath at La Restinga; dark volcanic cliffs drop away and currents nudge you out toward basalt pinnacles where light fractures into blue. On day one the course begins on shore with a classroom theory session, then moves into sheltered shallow water drills. Over 2–3 days you'll live the rhythm of repeated entries and surfaced rests as the instructor guides five dives that push skills and exposure — underwater navigation, a supervised deep dive to 18–30 m, and three practice dives to refine ascent procedures, gas management and buoyancy.
