Embark on a thrilling five-day coastal cruising adventure, navigating from Narragansett Bay to Martha's Vineyard. Experience overnight sailing, advanced navigation techniques, and dynamic weather planning while living aboard a larger boat. Each journey is unique, ensuring an unforgettable experience filled with learning and exploration on the open water.

101/103/104/105 courses are prerequisites to receiving ASA 106 certification.

About

  • This is a serious coastal cruising course living on a larger boat, where we go out to the Martha's Vineyard area and back to Narragansett Bay. We will be stopping at various anchorages along the way, applying the advanced navigation techniques learned in ASA 105, and do an overnight sail with watch-keeping during the night. We will discuss advanced sail trim, weather, boat systems.

As in any coastal cruising trip we plan our next day's journey factoring in the forecast, wind and weather...no two trips are the same! - Boat expenses are included, food is extra (about $100)
