Specialty classes develop the diver’s skill set beyond the open water diver and give them a foundation in other areas of diving.

Who this course is for:

  • Open water scuba divers who wish to expand their diver knowledge and skill set.
  • Open water scuba divers who would like to advance their dive training.

Course prerequisites:

  • SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent
  • Minimum age 15 (10 with parental consent)

Here are some of the options: Photography, Deep, Dry Suit, Limited visibility/Night, Peak Advanced Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, Full face mask, Side-mount, Solo, Underwater Navigation, equipment specialist, Boat, Drift, Hunter Gatherer and Wreck Diver.
