Set sail on a heartwarming adventure with our Adoptable Dog Cruise, a special collaboration between Sail Portland Maine and the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.

Each cruise features a guest appearance from a lovable dog seeking their furever family. Feel the joy of watching a pup light up while taking in all the sights (and smells!) as we sail through the beautiful Casco Bay in the evening.

On board, you’ll also learn about the incredible work done by the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, discover the stories of the dogs aboard, and learn about volunteer and foster opportunities.

This experience is designed for animal lovers, prospective pet owners, and anyone looking to support a great cause while enjoying an evening at sea. Whether or not you’re looking to adopt, you’re invited to mingle with these adorable canines amidst the backdrop of Casco Bay’s stunning sunset views.

Schedule

This one-of-a-kind cruise sets sail on the second Wednesday of each month from May through August, offering an enchanting sunset journey from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Please note, the number of seats on each cruise are limited to ensure the safety and best experience for all humans and furry friends. Spots are anticipated to fill quickly. We encourage you to book in advance to ensure you can enjoy this unforgettable experience.

Duration

Each "Adoptable Dog Cruise" is approximately 90 mins long, offering ample time to connect with the adoptable dog on board and enjoy the soothing maritime environment.

Pricing

$85 per ticket

20% of every ticket sale goes directly to the Animal Refuge League to support their mission of finding homes for animals in need.

Please Note Before Booking Your Adventure:

• Allergy Information: Please be aware that a dog will be present on the tour.
• Preparation: Dress comfortably and consider the weather; layers are recommended.
• No Other Pets: To help keep the focus on our adoptable dogs, please leave your pets at home!
• Food and Beverages: Feel free to bring your own light snacks and beverages, but please do not feed the featured dog.
• Sun Protection: Apply sunscreen and wear hats and sunglasses.
• Gratitude: Our crew works hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Tips are appreciated.
