Adagio is an older boat, ideal to charter for day sailing out of Pikes Bay. She makes a great boat to both live aboard and do your ASA 101 with Northern Breezes Sailing School. In 12 knots of wind she will cruise comfortably between 5 and 6 knots. Equipped with V Berth (kid size) two full length settee berths and a quarter berth, she is comfortable for a couple or a family of 4 looking to explore the near Apostles. For those wishing to anchor out, there are bays around Madeline Island. The bays at Stockton are reachable for those more experienced. A good boat to expand your sailing skills, with the capacity to enjoy sailing to an anchorage.

Adventure Tips

Bring layered clothing

Lake Superior’s weather can change rapidly, so dress in layers to stay comfortable during your sail.

For safety on deck, opt for shoes with good grip to prevent slipping on wet surfaces.

Protect against sun exposure

Use sunscreen and wear a hat and sunglasses as sun reflecting off the water can intensify UV rays.
