About

Do you want to learn to paddle but are not sure where to start or have you been paddling but want to learn how to do it more efficiently?

In this course, students will learn all things fundamental to kayaking. This includes basic paddling strokes, terminology, etiquette, theory, safety information, and much more!

We will begin our first section of the class on dry land, bring what you would bring to a beach and make sure to have an extra bottle of water for these hot Florida days. There is always the possibility to get wet when you put a boat on water so bring a waterproof dry bag to keep any valuables dry, or plan to leave those objects in your vehicle.

If you have your own kayaking gear, bring it, and bring it all otherwise we are able to provide you with a kayak and gear from us.

This is a rain or shine class! The only time a class will be rescheduled is in the event of lightning.

What to bring

  • Wear clothes that can get wet and possibly dirty
  • Water shoes
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)

Disclaimer: Any class with 5 or less participants is subject to cancellation as late as 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time due to low enrollment.
