About

A rich history precedes Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. The area we now explore and cherish for it's incredible views was once a small mining community.

Come along with us and explore this historic area! This tour departs from Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and travels in an off-road vehicle to the the location of the mine. This area is located just outside of Zion National Park and offers sweeping backcountry views of the Narrows, the West Temple, and other prominent National Park landmarks.

After arriving at the trailhead, a short 1/4 mile hike past antique mine equipment leads to the mouth of the mine shaft. Enter if you are brave! A short walk into the cave reveals mine cart tracks and the remnants of the historic operation.

A knowledgeable guide will lead the way and share intriguing information along with fun stories to enjoy.
