About This Adventure

Join us for 8 hours of tarpon fishing!

Duration

8 Hours

About

During the summer time around the end of April the tarpon show up by the hundreds to the passes and surrounding beaches. Tarpon are the ultimate gamefish with their huge size up to over 200lbs, high jumps, and long runs. Tarpon trips are based around the tides and close to the full and new moons are the best time to fish. To target these tarpon we will be using mostly live bait and artificial baits on 8' rods with 6,000 to 10,000 sized Shimano Saragosas with 30 - 50lb braid. With these rod and reel combos we will be able to land the fish in a quick amount of time to make sure that the Tarpon swim away strong and you don't get too worn out, so you can fight another silver king.

Adventure Tips

Opt for strong, lightweight tackle designed for big game fish to handle tarpon's powerful jumps.
