You step out into Bogotá’s thin air at dawn — a city perched above the cloud line where Andean peaks frame coffee-scented streets. The first day is a soft introduction: a walkable old town, a cable‑car rise to Monserrate and a briefing that sets the rhythm for eight days of movement across high plateaus, dry canyons and river gorges.

Some days start at high altitude (Bogotá ~2,640 m); the itinerary includes acclimatization hikes but bring time to rest, hydrate, and avoid heavy exertion on day one.
Participants should have moderate to strong fitness: several days include multi‑hour hikes, sustained bike legs, and active rafting—regular aerobic training beforehand is recommended.
