About

Your private guide will pick you up from your hotel. Start time is usually 9:30. You will take the train to Wannsee, but of course you could also take a taxi (extra charge would apply). There your guide will take you to the private boat where Captain Udo will wait for you. Berlin has about 80 lakes, and you will see quite a few of them. This trip will give you an idea of how green Berlin really is and how much nature there is to enjoy.

You will pass through the Small Wannsee, Pohlesee and Griebnitzsee, pass Tiefesee and Heilige See, enter the Havel river and arrive back at the Great Wannsee. Some of the sights you will see: •Kohlhasenbrück (which was connected to Westberlin during the time of the German division, but reachable only by bridge) •Klein-Glienicke (which was situated in the West but belonged to East-Berlin and was thus heavily guarded), Babelsberg (castle built in 1833 for Wilhelm I) •Glienicke Bridge (the famous "Spy Bridge") •Neue Garten in Potsdam with Meierei, Marble Palace, and Cecilienhof •Sacrower Church (beautiful church from 1844 which was inaccessible from 1961-1989, surrounded by the Berlin Wall), •Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island with historic castle and royal boathouse)
•Schwanenwerder (where Hitler and Goebbels bought villas in the 30s), the Wannsee Villa (where the infamous Wannsee Conference took place in early 1942).

This tour will offer you sights you would otherwise never get to see!

Your boat offers seats for 8 passengers, and your captain would be happy to let you steer for a while. You will be served cold beverages, and if the weather is nice enough, you may want to jump into the water for a swim (bring your bathing suit and a towel!). There is a shower on board. After your tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel via train (or via taxi, if you prefer - extra charge would apply).
