The dry months (June–August and December–February) generally offer easier road access and better wildlife visibility; birding and shoebill sightings can be excellent during wetter months.
Lodges at Murchison offer full amenities while Kidepo has a mix of safari lodges and basic UWA bandas; expect simpler services in more remote areas.
The itinerary is marked suitable for varied fitness levels, but long transfers and some uneven terrain mean it’s less ideal for very young children or those needing extensive mobility assistance.
