The trip requires a high level of physical fitness for walking, short treks and active village excursions; participants should be comfortable with uneven trails and extended travel days.
Dry-season months are generally more comfortable for coastal and highland travel; however Sri Lanka’s weather varies regionally—expect warm coastal conditions and cooler, potentially wetter weather in the Knuckles.
