Rainbow Mountain is typically 1.5 hours one-way (~3–4 km) with ~400–500 m ascent; Humantay is roughly 1–1.5 hours to the lake with ~350–450 m gain, depending on pace.
No formal experience is required, but 48–72 hours of acclimatization in Cusco and moderate cardiovascular fitness are strongly recommended.
