Suitable for travelers in good general health who can manage several hours of walking on uneven terrain and multiple transfers.
Cover six days of Turkey’s most iconic landscapes and ruins: Byzantine bazaars in İstanbul, Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys, the marble streets of Ephesus, and Pamukkale’s steaming terraces. This paced multi-day tour pairs domestic flights with guided site visits and included transfers.
Dawn in İstanbul arrives on the Bosphorus like a slow inhale: ferries cut silver paths, seagulls argue over a stray simit, and the minarets throw long, cool shadows across cobbled streets. You begin there — in a city that has been a capital, a crossroads and a stage for empire — then, over six days, move inland through volcanic moonscapes, Roman ruins and calcium-white terraces that look as if a glacier once paused mid-flow. The trip strings together some of Anatolia’s most cinematic places: the Ottoman and Byzantine center of İstanbul, Cappadocia’s wind-sculpted chimneys, the marble-paved grandeur of Ephesus, and the steaming travertines of Pamukkale.

Travertine terraces are often wet and require barefoot or soft-soled walking; bring shoes with good traction for approach and sandals for the pools.
Grand Bazaar and local markets are cash-friendly; have Turkish lira ready for small purchases and tips even though major sites accept cards.
Carry a scarf or wrap and shoulders/legs-covering clothing for mosque visits—women may need to cover hair at some sites.
Hot-air balloon rides in Cappadocia are not included and sell out quickly; reserve early and allow flexibility for weather cancellations.
The route stitches together Byzantium and Ottoman centers in İstanbul, Hellenistic and Roman Ephesus, and early Christian and monastic sites carved into Cappadocia’s soft rock.
Pamukkale’s travertines are sensitive to runoff and visitor impact—follow site rules (no shoes on terraces) and avoid stray soap or sunscreen in thermal pools.
Support and grip for cobbles, valley trails and wet travertine.
Protection against spring showers and wind in open valleys.
