Embark on an exhilarating 6-mile river adventure, navigating Class I & II rapids in just 2.5 to 3 hours! Enjoy a thrilling afternoon paddle from Buchanan to Breeden Bottom, complete with safety gear and orientation. Perfect for those seeking a memorable challenge in a stunning natural setting.
Included in price: Rental of boat, paddles, life jackets, safety orientation, river maps, use of dry bags, and all required shuttles.
Total trip experience is typically around 2.5 to 3 Hours, plus time for orientation, launching, and return shuttle. Return shuttle times: 3:00pm, 3:30pm, 4:00pm, & 4:30pm All trips must end by 4:30pm, no exceptions.

Featuring a fun & exciting river section with good current and numerous Class I & II rapids. Short but fun afternoon trip. Trip departs from our Buchanan riverfront location paddles downstream to the Breeden Bottom Arcadia Campground by the Arcadia James River bridge. As this trip ends downstream it requires a return shuttle. This trip is more challenging than the Springwood float.
All trips require at least 2 people per party All participants must be able to swim and not be afraid of the water. Footwear is required. All participants must be at least 6 years old. No alcohol is allowed on the river per Virginia State law.
