About the Captain

Make memories fishing with me, Capt. Richard Pollitzer (or " Rico" for a more fun, less formal approach), a native to Beaufort County who has been in the charter fishing business around Hilton Head and Beaufort for over 25 years and on the water my whole life. I will literally fish for anything that will eat and show you a great time doing it. I try to customize my charters to fit your hopes and leave you happy at the end of the day. I am a proud member of the North End Charter Fleet (www.northendcharterfleet.com), a group of ten operator/owner charter captains. We all run our own businesses and our own boats which means that your happiness with your sport fishing experience is important to us. We all have a vested interest in making you want to come back for more.

3/4 Day Fishing Charters can be the perfect trip, offering a greater range for fishing and more time on the water. These fishing trips can offer both a nearshore and offshore fishing experience and, at certain times, can be the best choice.

Adventure Tips

Bring Sunscreen and Eye Protection

South Carolina’s coastal sun can be intense, so protect your skin and eyes to stay comfortable during your full day on the water.

Wear Non-Slip Footwear

Boat decks can be slick from water and bait; shoes with good grip reduce the risk of slipping for a safer fishing trip.

Communicate Your Fishing Preferences

Captain Pollitzer customizes trips, so share your target species and angling interests when booking to get the most out of your charter.

Stay Hydrated Onboard

Bring plenty of water or ask if refreshments are provided to avoid dehydration during this six-hour outing.
