Adventure Tips

Bring Your Own PFD

Personal flotation devices are required by law but not included in the rental—rent or bring one to stay safe on the water.

Secure Park Permits in Advance

Make sure to obtain Algonquin Park permits before your trip; overnight camping without a permit is prohibited.

Plan Your Route According to Weather

Check local weather reports before departure to avoid sudden storms and ensure smooth paddling conditions.

Pack Light but Smart

Opt for waterproof bags and essential gear only—extra weight can slow paddling and strain endurance over multiple days.
