Morning light breaks over Sinai as a convoy of open-top jeeps rattles away from Sharm’s hotel strip, engines urging you toward raw desert. The road narrows, asphalt giving way to packed sand and tracks; wind carves patterns on rock faces that seem to lean in to watch. At the rim of Double Canyon the jeeps park and you step out into a cleft of sandstone where gravity and water have sculpted a narrow throat — the canyon draws you down with tight turns, sudden drops and a grinding, delightful scramble.
