easy.
4 days.
Suitable for most fitness levels; requires tolerance for long vehicle hours and some short uneven walks around camps.
This itinerary includes a charter flight that connects via Arusha to the Seronera airstrip; pick-up at the airstrip is provided by the lodge guide.
Peak river crossing activity is typically April–July (northward moves) and October–December (return), though wildlife is present year-round.
Three nights’ accommodation at mid-range lodges/camps is included, with meals as listed (breakfasts, lunches, dinners depending on the day).
The tour is marked physically easy, but long jeep rides and uneven surfaces can be challenging; wheelchair-accessible options are available on request and infants must sit on laps.
The Serengeti’s name comes from the Maasai word siringet, meaning 'endless plain'; the ecosystem evolved over millennia of river-driven grassland productivity and migratory grazing patterns.
The Serengeti is a protected landscape facing pressures from tourism, poaching, and development; choose operators who support park fees and community-based initiatives to minimize impact.
