Dawn breaks low over the Okavango and the air shivers with wings and distant trumpets as your vehicle rolls across the floodplains. The first light picks out hippos in the channels and elephants moving like slow storms through mopane. Over four days you follow water and game between Moremi Game Reserve and the communally managed Khwai Concession, sleeping under canvas and listening to the night come alive.

Consult your travel clinic: malaria prophylaxis is commonly recommended for the Okavango Delta and routine vaccinations should be up to date.
Accommodation is in 3m x 3m canvas dome tents with mattresses, bed linen and ensuite bush toilet and shower—comfortable but basic, with all services provided by camp crew.
The trip is graded suitable for most fitness levels, but it's not recommended for travelers with serious spinal, cardiovascular issues, or pregnancy; contact the operator to discuss mobility needs.
No wildlife can be guaranteed, but Moremi and Khwai have high densities of game, and experienced guides maximize chances through timing and knowledge of animal movements.
Moremi was designated to protect the eastern Okavango Delta and remains one of Botswana’s earliest conservation areas, while Khwai represents a model of communal land use for tourism revenue.
Khwai Concession is co-managed with local communities to support livelihoods and wildlife protection—practice low-impact travel and follow guide instructions to minimize disturbance.
