Enjoy a panoramic whale flight, with stunning scenic views of the spectacular Kaikoura coastline. We look for the magnificent sperm whales in their natural environment.
From the air, you can see that there is more to a whale than just the tail. you get to really appreciate its full size. There might also be the opportunity to see the playful dusky dolphins and other marine life on your flight, remember: it is nature, and we never know what we are going to see. After we find whales and time allows, we will take you on a scenic flight of Kaikoura and the stunning surrounds that include the high Alpine snow-clad Seaward Kaikoura mountain range, and to the east, the deep blue Pacific Ocean. Although no guarantees are possible, we do have a very high success rate and we will talk to you about your chances of finding whales on the day of your flight.
Weather permitted, we can guarantees a flight with a minimum of two passengers. There is an option to extend your flight to give you the best chance to see the whales. Our whale watching fleet includes our newest addition, the 8 seater GA-8 Airvan, a high wing aircraft perfect for scenic flights. We use our Cessna 172 for smaller groups.
