Group Lessons

Group stand-up paddle lessons are a great Surf Hawai‘i Surf School option because they blend playtime, friends, and gratifying physical activity. Our group SUP classes have a 3 to-1 student to instructor ratio. Group lessons are perfect for families, groups of friends.

  • Your first class starts with a 20-minute extensive land training including a surf ethics lesson. After that… it’s time to get wet! You’ll paddle out with your surf instructor, who will be in the water with you during the lesson. Having a professional certified surf instructor in the water guiding you will bring you that memorable feeling that only a surfer can describe as you glide down your first wave. You never forget that moment! Once you stand up on your board for the first time, you will finally understand why surfers are so stoked.

We teach all ages the art of paddling through safe and easy techniques that are proven to work. You will get the personalized attention you deserve; that's the only way the surf instructors of Surf Hawaii - Surf School teach.

A Typical Stand-Up Paddle Lesson with Surf Hawaii – Surf School Includes:

  • Specialized SUP boards, leashes, paddles and rash guards are included
  • Usage of Stand Up Paddle and Leash
  • Basic Ocean Awareness
  • Stand Up Paddle Board Etiquette
  • Basic Paddle Technique
  • Learn to Catch Perfect Waves

Our instructors are highly trained and experienced professionals who love what they do. All Surf Hawaii – Surf School instructors are certified lifeguards.

What to Bring:

Remember to wear beach attire, sunscreen and bring a hat and/or sunglasses! Life is bright, you gotta have shades!

• Ages 4 and up • Participants should be in good general health. • All participants must sign a waiver • All medical/physical restrictions must be declared at time of reservation.
