You pull on a DOT helmet, the little three-wheeled GoCar hums to life, and San Francisco opens up in tight turns and sudden views. The air tastes of salt and brake dust; fog fingers the bay while the car’s GPS voice nudges you toward the Palace of Fine Arts, then out past Crissy Field where the Golden Gate rises like a red gate daring you to cross beneath it.

Minimal physical exertion required; drivers should be able to operate a small vehicle and climb in/out of a low cockpit.
No motorcycle license is required; drivers must be 21 or older and present a valid physical driver’s license.
You cannot drive onto the bridge span as part of the tour, but the route stops at Fort Point and nearby vantage points with excellent bridge views and pedestrian access to the span.
Rental includes the GPS GoCar, helmets, orientation, map and a tank of gas; a $500 security hold is placed on your card (reduced to $300 if collision coverage is purchased).
The operator lists wheelchair-accessible options and service animals are allowed, but the GoCar itself has a low cockpit—check with the provider for specific accessibility needs before booking.
