3 Hours
A three-hour sailing excursion on the Rappahannock River that departs at 9am and 1pm daily. This trip is great for anyone wanting to get out on the water and experience sailing on the Rive. Pull lines and crank on winches if you want, or simply relax on the bow taking in the scenery or reading a book.
All of our adventures begin with an introduction to the vessel, our beloved 58' sailing catamaran Pisces, and a safety briefing. We depart from the dock and motor out of the harbor and into the Rappahannock River, where the sailing begins in earnest.
You may bring a cooler with your food and beverage of choice, although no glass containers (except a wine bottle) are permitted onboard.
Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from the land climate. Please bring appropriate footwear for the boat, quick drying clothes (synthetic layers are great), sunscreen, and a rain coat (just in case!). There is plenty of room and privacy in the cabin to store your belonging and change clothes. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone, although we do not assume any liability for their protection from the elements.
Exposure on the open water means strong sun – protect yourself with SPF and a wide-brimmed hat.
Bring plenty of water to stay refreshed throughout your three-hour sail.
Temperatures can fluctuate, so layering helps keep you comfortable on the water.
Keep your phone, camera, and valuables dry during the sail by using a waterproof bag.
