About

Come on a 3 hour lighthouse tour along the coast of Maine, The route is comprised of paved bike trails as well as some road riding - with a few moderate hills. We’ll visit Bug Light, Spring Point Light, Portland Head Light and, unless there is fog rolling in, take in the sights of Two Lights and Ram Island Light. We’ll take breaks for wandering about Fort Williams Park, Fort Preble, Wilard Beach, and maybe a walk out on the granite breakwater built to protect Portland long ago. This is a moderate 12 mile ride, with some small hills, showcasing much of the Portland’s natural beauty, maritime history and varied coastline.

We offer lobster rolls and other lunch options from Bite Into Maine (for an additional fee) or you can pack your own lunch.

What to bring

Meet at Lighthouse Bikes 15 minutes before tour start time. All participants should bring a water bottle or purchase one at the shop. We will go regardless of the weather so come prepared with a windbreaker or rain coat if need be!
