You kick the clutch in Jakarta, the city noise folding behind you as the road climbs toward tea terraces and the green flank of Halimun National Park.
moderate.
3 days.
Moderate: comfortable handling a 230–250cc bike for several hours a day, plus short technical off-road sections
You should have a valid motorcycle license accepted by Indonesian authorities; check local regulations and confirm with the operator before booking.
The harder option includes rocky climbs and river crossings—intermediate off-road skills and confidence on loose terrain are recommended; an easier paved alternative is available.
Petrol and meals listed in the itinerary (two breakfasts, three lunches, two dinners) are included; carry small cash for extras and snacks in villages.
Accommodations are homestays and a traditional wooden house offering authentic comfort—expect simple facilities and local hospitality rather than hotel-style amenities.
Ciptagelar is a Kasepuhan Sundanese hamlet with roots back to the 14th century and continues to govern community life through adat (customary law).
Ciletuh is part of a UNESCO Global Geopark; follow marked trails, avoid single-use plastics, and respect village rules to minimize impact.
