Within hours the city’s grid gives way to wind-swept coast—cliffs leaning into the Southern Ocean, waves testing the shoreline like an insistent question. This three-day small-group run from Melbourne to Adelaide stitches together two of Victoria’s most elemental landscapes: the coastal drama of the Great Ocean Road and the raw sandstone ridges of the Grampians (Gariwerd).

The tour meets at the Immigration Museum, 400 Flinders St, Melbourne at 7:35 a.m. and finishes in Adelaide at approximately 7:30 p.m. on day three.
Accommodation is dormitory-style with shared bathrooms in Warrnambool and Halls Gap; upgrades to private rooms must be arranged directly with the operator.
This fare is for adults 18+. Children 6–17 must upgrade to private accommodation and be accompanied by a guardian; infants and children under 6 are not suitable for this tour.
Expect multiple short to moderate walks each day—some with steep sections. Examples: Pinnacle ~4–5 km return; MacKenzie Falls short descent with steps.
Two breakfasts and one dinner are included, plus some park entry fees; bring money for lunches, snacks and additional meals.
Storage is limited; each traveller is allowed one suitcase and one carry-on. Contact the operator in advance for oversized items.
The Great Ocean Road was built by returned WWI soldiers and doubles as a war memorial; Gariwerd (Grampians) is a landscape with tens of thousands of years of Aboriginal connection and rock art sites nearby.
