Sun-bleached spinifex cracks underfoot as the 4WD drops you at the rim of Kings Canyon, and the air smells of red dust and ironstone. You stand where sandstone cliffs shear down 100 metres to shaded gullies, while the guide points out ochre streaks and ancient reef lines carved long before roads reached here.

Participants should have good cardiovascular fitness and be comfortable with sustained 4–6 hour walks on uneven, sometimes steep terrain.
A moderate-to-high fitness level is required—expect several hours of walking over uneven ground and some steep sections; a doctor’s clearance may be requested for guests over 75.
Two nights at off-grid eco camps with options for canvas bush swags or safari tents; basic shower/toilet facilities are provided at campsites.
National Park entry fees are included in the tour price, so you do not need to purchase additional passes.
Children aged 8–17 must be accompanied by an adult; the tour is not suitable for infants or children under 8 due to fitness and safety requirements.
