The trail opens on a cool morning above Imlil, wind brushing the apple trees as mule bells punctuate the ascent. You step off the village track into a steep climb toward Tizi n’Tamaterte; scrub and stone give way to long ridgelines and views that push your attention toward the plain around Marrakech and the serrated silhouette of Jbel Toubkal.
