A thin alpine wind pushes across the ridge as the group sets out from Haba Village, the first light turning distant peaks a cold blue. Trails lead from chest-high firs onto open pastures; by evening the plateau at 3,800 meters opens to a sky so clear the stars feel close enough to touch. Over three days, the itinerary moves from shaded primeval forest and flowered terraces to the emerald stillness of a glacial Black Sea Lake at roughly 4,200 m, before descending into the thunderous, cliff-lined corridor of Tiger Leaping Gorge.
