The morning light bends across a shallow ribbon of water and the Boteti River dares you to lean closer — hippos snort, shorebirds flare, and a mokoro slips silently toward a low sun. On this three-day circuit from Maun, the landscape shifts from riverine mopane to the mirror-flat expanse of the Makgadikgadi Pans, where salt crust and sky meet in a horizon that moves with your vehicle.
