Adventure Tips

Bring Sun Protection

Apply reef-safe sunscreen and wear a hat to protect yourself from intense sun exposure on the open water.

Stay Hydrated

Even with ocean breezes, the sun and salt can dehydrate you quickly—drink plenty of water throughout the trip.

Dress in Layers

Mornings can be cool out on the water, so bring a lightweight jacket or long-sleeve shirt to stay comfortable.

Motion Sickness Preparedness

If you're prone to seasickness, bring medication or ginger chews; the boat may encounter choppy waters offshore.

Local Insights

Wildlife

  • West Indian manatees often seen in nearby shallow bays
  • Loggerhead sea turtles nesting in warmer months along the Keys
