"Be your own captain" boat rentals are available for half-day, three quarter-day, and full-day rentals. Spend your day on the water on one of our boats. They are perfect for fishing, cruising around the Roanoke Sound, and dolphin watching!

Before heading out, stock up on bait, ice and tackle in our tackle shop. We feature a full line of tackle to support all your fishing needs. We offer gear for all types of saltwater fishing including surf, pier, and inshore gear. Fishing Unlimited has a large assortment of fresh, frozen and artificial bait. Rods, Reels, and Fishing line are available for purchase.
For customers to fish on our boats a NC fishing is required for everyone 16 and older. Licenses can be purchased at the shop upon arrival. No licenses are needed to crab.
Children 13 and Under must have a life jacket on.
We are open 6am to 6pm daily, however our boats run from 7am to 5pm.
Roanoke Sound can be calm but conditions change rapidly—monitor marine forecasts before setting out.
All anglers 16 and older must have an NC fishing license; available for purchase at the tackle shop.
Children 13 and under must wear life jackets at all times while on the boat for safety compliance.
The open sound offers little natural shade—protect your skin with SPF and bring a hat and sunglasses.
