You step off the minivan onto Paul da Serra’s flat, wind-bitten plateau and the world tilts downhill—green terraces and cloud-scrubbed ridges funnel you toward the Rabaçal valley. The levada path threads through the endemic Laurissilva forest, its mossy banks and dripping rock faces framing the route toward the Risco waterfall and the cool basin of the 25 Fontes.
