About This Adventure

Experience the vibrant essence of Fall at Round The Bend Farm, where students engage in hands-on activities exploring animal life, plant growth, and food origins. Enjoy wagon rides, animal visits, and playful adventures in a straw maze and corn maze, all while learning about nature’s wonders. Each child takes home a pie pumpkin!

Come experience Fall at Round The Bend Farm. Round The Bend Farm is a working family farm open to schools for Fall visits. Through hands-on activities, students learn about animals, plants, where their food comes from and more. TRIPS TO THE FARM RANGE FROM 2 to 3 - 3.5 HOURS LONG.
We understand that school may arrive later than 10am and leave after 1pm and that is not a problem.

BE AWARE: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BOOK THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS YOU WISH, THAT MEANS THE DAY IS ALREADY BOOKED WITH OTHER SCHOOLS. You may NOT take the available spots and then expect to arrive at the farm with more students than actually booked, this will not be allowed!

Learn about Pumpkins In an indoor setting, listen to a presentation and learn about the pumpkin’s life cycle & the importance of bees for pollination.

Wagon Ride Learn where your food comes from and what part of the plant you eat.
Each classroom will received a harvested box of farm vegetables.

Animal Visit See ducks, peafowl, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, calves, rabbits, and Levi the alpaca in their outdoor living spaces. Read the information signs and do the flip board activities to learn more about the animals.

Play Activities With adult supervision, play in the straw maze, slide down the Tube Chute and navigate through the corn maze. Adults MUST accompany students in the corn maze. Make music on the music board, enjoy the farm activity boards and more.

RATES Students: $14.50 + hst Each students receives one (1) take home pie pumpkin. Teachers and TAs: no charge Adults: 1 free adult for every 5 students Additional Adults: $14.50 + hst Teachers and School Volunteers are responsible for the supervision of their students at all times.

Picnic shelter lunch area $15 reservation fee per school. All lunches must be litter less and all associated garbage must go home with the students.

Each child will receive one (1) take home pie/small pumpkin, and teachers will receive a selection of harvested vegetables.

Dress for the weather and for being outside. It is often cooler at the farm due to winds and wide open spaces.

Adult supervision required in mazes

Ensure at least one adult accompanies students moving through the corn maze for safety and direction.

Book early to secure your spot

School groups sell out quickly each fall, so reservations should be made well in advance.

Pack a litterless lunch

The farm requests all garbage be taken home to maintain the site's natural beauty.
