Snowshoes are meant to float you in fluffy snow allowing you to hike with more ease. Winter trails have a unique beauty and offer a nice alternative to skiing. Trail and snow conditions will vary from day to day. On many winter days, the snow on the trails is packed firm and just requires hiking or snow boots. When you book a snowshoe tour I will be able to determine whether the conditions require the snowshoes, and I will choose the appropriate trail for the conditions on that day.
